On your first question ---- the Library doesn't do training, per se. Depending on the software you want to use, we do have some self-learning packages. In particular, we have sets of DVDs that will teach you how to use "Vegas". That's probably the best video software available at IUP. These DVDs are available at the media desk on the 1st floor of Stapleton Library. In addition, the staff of the Library Technology Services office can help answer questions and troubleshoot problems, but we don't have specific "trainers". You might also want to check with the Technology Services folks in the Suites on Grant. They may have some programs that can help you learn software. Additional resources might be available in Communications Media Department in Stouffer Hall. On you second question -- we do have equipment for converting analog VHS tapes to digital files. The Library media department can do the conversion for you, but there is a $5.00 per video charge. We also have the equipment on our multimedia pods on the 1st floor of Stapleton where you can do it yourself.
