To request both the books and the journal article, you need to use the ILLIAD Interlibrary Loan system. To find ILLIAD, go to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library), click on "Books and More" section and select the "ILLIAD (Interlibrary Loan)" option. This takes you to the ILLIAD login page. In order to make requests on ILLIAD, you must be a registered user. If you don't already have a user ID and password, just click on the "First Time Users" link. This takes you to a page that explains the system and that has a "First Time Users Click Here" button at the bottom. Click that button to get the registration page and then enter the information requested. Since you are at the Monroeville Site, be sure to select that as your location. It would also be helpful if you sent an e-mail to Michele Corcoran (email@example.com) explaining that you are at the Monroeville campus. Michele's our interlibrary loan supervisor and she will notate your account so that all your requests will be forwarded to the right place. Once you're registered, you can request main campus books for to be sent to your campus by using the "Request a Book" option. To expedite the process, just enter the library location and call number in the "Notes" field of your request. That will alert the ILL staff that it is a local book. You can also use the "Request a Photocopy" option to request copies of articles that IUP doesn't own. We'll find a library that does have the material and request a copy that we'll forward to you. Generally, the process for Interlibrary Loan takes about 3-6 working days.
