There are several online resources I would suggest. If you are looking specifically for statistics, you might try the following: Statistical Universe -- this database provides citations and a great deal of full text of statistical reports from the U.S. Government, including Census reports and other government agencies. Just go to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library) and select the "All Databases" option. Then select "Statistical Universe" from the alphabetic list. Pennsylvania State Data Center -- an organization housed at Penn State University, these folks collect and distribute all kinds of statistics about Pennsylvania. Accessible at http://pasdc.hbg.psu.edu/ If you are looking for historical information, you might try: Pennsylvania County Histories -- a database of the full text of published histories of many Pennsylvania counties -- most published between 1870 and 1900. Available from the Library "All Databases" list. America : History and Life -- the premier database of citations for articles and other resources on all areas of American history. Also available from the "All Databases" list. Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission -- web site devoted to Pennsylvania history. Accessible at : www.phmc.state.pa.us
