Yes, you can request that book from another library. We actually have two request systems. I would first try requesting the book through the PALCI (Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc.) EZ-Borrow system. Just go to the Library Home Page (, click on "Books and More", and select the "PALCI (Interlibrary Loan)" option. This will open the EZ-Borrow main page. The system will ask you to log in. You need to use the 16-digit number at the bottom of your I-card. It's the one that starts 60083901.... Once connected to PALCI, you can search by author, title, subject or International Standard Book Number (ISBN). Once you find the item you need, there will be a blue "Request" button with the record. Just click that button. The system will verify your name and e-mail address and where you want to pick up the book. Once everything is OK, just click submit. The system will then send a request to one of the libraries in Pennsylvania that owns the book. That library will ship it to IUP and you'll receive an e-mail when it arrives. Then you can pick it up at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor of Stapleton Library. If the book is not available via PALCI (and it might not because many libraries may classify it as a non-circulating reference book), you can request it through the ILLIAD system. ILLIAD allows us to request beyond the group of PALCI libraries. To find ILLIAD, go to the library home page, click on "Books and More" section and select the "ILLIAD(Interlibrary Loan)" option. This will take you to the ILLIAD login page. In order to make requests via ILLIAD, you must be a registered user. On the login page, enter your user ID and password. If you don't alreay have an account, just follow the "First Time Users" link. This will take you to a page that explains the system and that has a "First Time Users" click here button at the bottom. Click that button to get the registration page and fill in the information requested. You'll specify your user ID and login at this point. Once you click the "Submit" button, you'll be immediately registered and taken to the main ILLIAD page. On the main page, you have the choice of several types of requests. Just select the one for "Request a Book" and then enter the information about the book you need.
