To request books to be sent to the Monroeville campus, you need to use the ILLIAD Interlibrary Loan system. To find ILLIAD, go to to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library), click on "Books and More" and then click on "ILLIAD (Interlibrary Loan)". This will take you to the ILLIAD login page. In order to make requests, you must be a registered user. If you don't already have an account, just follow the "First Time Users" link. This will take you to a page that explains the system and that has a "First Time Users Click Here" button at the bottom. Click that button to get the registration page. On the registration page, fill your contact information. You'll get to specify your user ID and password, as well. For Monroeville users, it is particularly important that you select the correct option for the "Site" question. Be sure it says "Monroeville Center". That tells the system to route things to the proper place. Once you've entered your contact information, click "Submit Information" and you'll be immediately registered and taken to the main ILLIAD page. On that page, you have the choice of two request forms. "Request a Photocopy" is used for journal articles or specific book chapters. "Request a Book" is used for books. Select the appropriate form and enter the information about the material you need. Normally, you can't use ILLIAD for items that IUP already owns. However, we are adapting the system for users at our branch campuses. You can enter information about main campus items that are to be sent to the Monroeville Center. If you do request IUP materials, it is extremely helpful if you enter the location and call number or other identifying information in the "Notes" box. This will help expedite your request.
