To request materials from the main campus to be sent to Monroeville, you need to use the ILLIAD system. You can find it by going to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library), clicking on "Books and More" and then on "ILLIAD (Interlibrary Loan)". This will bring up the ILLIAD login screen. In order to use ILLIAD, you must be a registered user. If you don't already have an ILLIAD username and password, just click on the "First Time Users" link. This will take you to a page that explains the system and that has a "First Time Users Click Here" button at the bottom. Click that button to get the registration page. On the registration page, fill out the appropriate contact information. For our Monroeville students, it is important that you make a selection for the "Site" option. Be sure it is set to "Monroeville Center" before you submit the page. That's how the system will know to send materials to you rather than to the main campus. After you've filled in the registration information, click "Submit Information" and you'll be immediately registered and be taken to the ILLIAD main menu. On the ILLIAD main menu you have the option to "Request a Photocopy" (used for articles or book chapters) or "Request a Book". Just select the appropriate option and then enter information about the material you need. If you are requesting books or articles from the main campus, it will be helpful if you list the location and/or call number in the "Notes" field on the request form. This will help to expedite your request. When you've entered all the information about the item you need, submit the request. Our staff will gather the material or request it from another library and then have the material shipped to Monreville. You'll receive e-mail notification when it has arrived. The process usually takes about 3-6 working days.
