Unfortunately, IUP does not have either of those books. However, we can get copies for you from other libraries through our Interlibrary Loan program. To request copies, you need to use the PALCI system. This is a requesting system used by the Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc. (PALCI) which includes most of the academic libraries in Pennsylvania (including IUP). You can find PALCI by going to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library), clicking on "Books and More" and then on "PALCI (Interlibrary Loan)". Once connected to PALCI, you'll be asked to log in. You use the 16-digit number on the bottom of your I-Card -- the one that starts 60083901.... After you've logged in, you can search PALCI by Author, Title, Subject or ISBN (International Standard Book Number -- the fastest search). Once you find an item in the catalog, just click the blue "Request" button. The system will verify your name, where you want to pick up the book and your e-mail address. Once all the information is correct, click the "Submit" button. This will automatically send the request to one of the libraries that owns the material. They will pull the material from their shelves and ship it to IUP. When it arrives here, you'll receive e-mail notification and then you can pick up the material at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor of Stapleton Library. The process takes about 3-6 working days.
