We do have a system set up for requesting and sending books from the main campus to the Monroeville Center. However, it doesn't work within PILOT and the My Bookbag feature. So, you aren't able to request them directly as a group. The system that we have in place operates through the ILLIAD Interlibrary Loan software. To find ILLIAD, go to the Library Home Page, click on "Books and More" and then on "ILLIAD (Interlibrary Loan)". This will bring up the ILLIAD login page. In order to use ILLIAD, you must be a registered user. If you don't already have an account, just follow the "First Time Users" link. This will bring up a page that explains the system and that has a "First Time Users Click Here" button at the bottom. Click that button to get the registration page. On the registration page, fill out the contact information requested, including your choice for user ID and password. As a Monroeville student, it is important that you select "Monroeville" for the "Site" option. That will alert our staff to send the books to the proper place.Once you've clicked the "Submit" button, you'll be immediately registered and you'll be able to make requests. Once you've logged in, the main ILLIAD page gives you options for "Request a Photocopy" (used for articles or specific book chapters), "Request a Book" or "Request a Video". Select the appropriate form and enter the information requested. Normally, ILLIAD is used just for requesting material that IUP doesn't own. However, users at our distance centers can also use it to request materials from the main campus. If you are requesting IUP material, it is very helpful if you list the location and call number in the "Notes" field on the request. This will help expedite your request. Although you have the list of books in the "My Bookbag" area of the online catalog, you won't able to send them directly to ILLIAD. I would suggest that you have the bookbag open in one window and open ILLIAD in another. Then you can copy and paste information between the two. That will save time over re-typing all the information.
