I did some quick searching in the PILOT online catalog, and didn't find anything that really jumped out as being appropriate to your topic. Your topic is pretty specific and you can only do very general searches in the catalog. One technique to find books would be to go to the section of the books stacks where the the history of Germany for that period is covered and start browsing. Look at the table of contents for the books or check the indexes at the back to see if they will cover your topic. Another tactic for finding books on the subject is to find articles that discuss it and then examine the bibliographies at the ends of the articles to find book listings. I would suggest that you take a look at the "Historical Abstracts" database. You'll find many citations to relevant articles and many of those are available in full text from the database. You can find Historical Abstracts by going to the Library Home Page ( clicking on "Article Databases". Then click on Historical Abstracts from the alphabetic list.
