We probably have the kind of books you need in our Children's Collection on the 2nd floor of the Stabley part of the library complex. There are a couple of ways that you can find them. First, I would browse the Children's Collection shelves. We use the Dewey Decimal system to organize these books, so you can use the number system to find general topics. I would look in the 510's (Mathematics), 330's (Economics) and 650's (Business). Another technique would be to use the PILOT online catalog to identify specific books. You can find PILOT by going to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library)and clicking on "Online Catalog". This will open the PILOT software. Once connected to PILOT, click on the "Search Limits" button. This will take you to a page that allows you to set all kinds of criteria for searches. Use the box marked "Location" and scroll down and select "Children's Collection." Then click the button that says "Set Search Limits". This will return you to the main PILOT screen that will now have a note that says "Search Limits Are In Effect". Now, all keyword searches you do will only retrieve materials in the Children's Collection. Not all of the searches on the main PILOT page are keyword searches, so it's usually a good idea to switch to the "Guided Search" options. All of those searches are keyword searches and will successfully limit to your location. Finally, we have a number of guidebooks and bibliographies in the Reference Collection on the 1st floor of the Stapleton part of the building that list children's books by subject. Specifically, I'm thinking of the book "A to Zoo : subject accdess to children's picture books". You can find this in the reference collection with the call number [REF] Z1037 .L715 2006. There are many other books like it in that section. You can identify books by subject and grade level in these guides and then check PILOT to see if we have those specific book titles.
