You didn't give a lot of detail in your e-mail, but I think the problem may be in your choice of database. You said that you were searching EBSCOHost, but you didn't say which database(s) on EBSCOHost you were using. EBSCOHost is the searching service and it supports several dozen different databases. The trick is to select one or more databases that have information on your topic. Since we've had others asking questions about Social Learning Theory, I'm that you are writing this paper for a Criminology class. If you aren't please write back to me with what class this is for. For Criminology, I would suggest that you search these databases: Criminal Justice Periodicals Index (this is a Proquest database, not EBSCHost - but it is the best crim database available), Criminal Justice Abstracts (EBSCOHost), NCJRS (National Criminal Justice Reference System (again, not EBSCOHost), and SocINDEX with Full Text (EBSCOHost). I also recommend that you search the databases individually. Some users try to select all the databases available from EBSCOHost and search them together. That gets tricky because of the individual features of each database. You sometimes lose functionality searching several databases together. You can find these databases by going to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library)and clicking on "Article Databases". This brings up the alphabetic list of all databases available, including those from EBSCOHost and others. Just select the database you want from the list.
