When you visit one of the databases on the All Databases or Databases by Subject pages from an off-campus location, before you are taken to the database itself you will be asked to authenticate as an IUP student, faculty member, or staff member. 

When you click on the database title, you will be taken to the KLN PASS page. This page will provide access to the IUP Single Sign-On service (the same service you would use to access MyIUP). Enter your IUP username and password, and you will then be connected to the desired database.
