If the book is an IUP book (not a book borrowed via the PALCI EZ-Borrow or the ILLIAD Interlibrary Loan systems), you renew the book through the PILOT online catalog.
Go to the Library Home Page (www.iup.edu/library) and click on the "Online Catalog" option. Once connected to PILOT, click on the "Account Info" link. On the resulting page, you have the option to enter your barcode (the 16-digit number on your I-Card) or your IUP Banner ID (your '@' student ID number) and your last name. Once you enter that information correctly, the system will display your account information.
In the section that shows what materials you have checked out, any item that is eligible for renewal will have a little square box at the left side. Click to check off the box for any item you wish to renew and then click the "Renew" button. Please note that if an item is already overdue, it cannot be renewed online - you will have to visit the library in person.
Undergraduate students may borrow books for an initial 30 days and then they may be renewed twice. Graduate students borrow for an initial 90 days and may also renew twice. Faculty have an initial 90 days and may renew three times.
If you wish to renew a PALCI EZ-Borrow or ILLIAD book, please contact the Interlibrary Loan department at (724)357-3037 or (724)357-2095 to request a renewal.
