If you run into an article that's not available in full text online (or is asking you to pay a fee to see the article) you can still get a copy sent to you by submitting a request through the ILLIAD Interlibrary Loan Service.
What we'll need is some details about the article including the journal title, the article title, the article date, the authors, and the page numbers. Once we have that, our interlibrary loan department will arrange for a digital copy to be sent to you. Articles requested through ILLIAD generally arrive within 12-24 hours.
Interlibrary Loan is free to IUP users, so you don't need to pay for any articles you request.
To submit the request, go to the Interlibrary Loan page on our website. Once you're there, follow these steps:
Once submitted, the request goes to our interlibrary loan department and is processed. You'll get an email when the article is delivered, and to view it, just log back in to ILLIAD and click on "Electronically Received Articles" in the left-hand column. The article or articles you requested will be available as PDFs.
Note: requested articles will be removed from your ILLIAD account after 30 days. However, if you download them, you can keep a permanent copy.
